CBDB
CBDB is a progressive rock/jam band formed in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, whose stock is rising fast. Fresh off the release of their third album, entitled “The FAME EP”, they are seeing a pattern of snowballing momentum with large, energetic crowds hungry for their unique brand of progressive jam-rock, dubbed Joyfunk. CBDB blends soulful vocals and virtuosic instrumentation with smart, tasteful songwriting resulting in a sound that can be enjoyed by the casual listener and audiophile alike. On stage, they parade tight, ambitious compositions that seamlessly gives way to loose, adventurous improvisation and have quickly become a must-see act..
Hood Baby and the Barnacles
Hood Baby and the Barnacles
Hood Baby and the Barnacles is a funktet whose members hail from 3 of the Southern states. Vocalist and Keyboardist Ronnie Bullock comes from Jackson, MS. Bullock grew up on the classic rock stylings of Queen, but has recently discovered his undying love for funk music, and uses his musicianship to replicate the groovy keyboard chops of his idols. Bass player Garrett Caver hails from Pratville, AL, and has always had a feel for the funk. Idolizing groups like Parliament and Funkadelic, Caver is the perfect man for the job when it comes to laying down a groove. Guitarist Wes Toner is from Hoover, AL, and was raised on blues music, using the greats such as Jimi Hendrix and Duane Allman to bring a soulful tone to the group. Newest member of Hood Baby, Chase Carlton also has a sweet spot for rock n roll, but has proven himself in being able to create the perfect pocket for his band mates to lay in. The four demonstrate an uncanny chemistry with one another, creating music that is very tight. The quartet hopes for abundant success in the future.
